Teach Colors With The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Trying to teach a kid when they are not paying attention is the number one issue I see with toddlers on the autism spectrum. I see it in the classroom environment, therapy clinics, and in the home. This is a serious issue, and in most environments parents don't have any control over what's going on. At home it's a different story, parents can overcome attention issues by playing with their kid. Use the kids inherent motivations and likes to get them engaged in activities where you can target specific skills and language.
If your kid loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then use these masks to play with your kid. They are great for color identification skills and social interaction. I'm using these in a program where I am teaching basic color skills to children with a variety of special needs and they have been incredibly successful.
This package comes with the four original turtles for targeting colors: red, orange, blue, and purple. There is also a turtle with a white mask so you can make your own color targets. There is also a complete black and white page.
