Many families don’t know where to start when supporting their kid academically at home.

This morning I built my Square Bot for my next cartoon and was thinking that an easy piece of advice for parents out there is to just make sure you have shapes in your kid’s environment.   If you are starting from scratch, start with the basics: square, triangle, and circle.  No need to drill the concepts into your kid’s brain.  Just make them part of your everyday environment, model the language for them in natural ways, and make them interesting / useful to your kid.  Trust me, you don’t need six years of college to teach preschool, even if your kid has autism.

I hope to have a cartoon and printable for squares finished by Monday. So if you are looking for a fun way to introduce squares to your kid it’s coming!
